Cast and Crew

Cissy Whipp has spent most of her life immersed in the world of dance as a student, teacher, choreographer, and performer. From an early age, she was known for creating spontaneous performances—often surprising shoppers in grocery store aisles—and she continues to embrace every opportunity to dance.

After earning her MA in Dance, she returned to Lafayette to co-found Moving South Dance, Louisiana’s first professional modern dance company. Following her retirement as Dance Specialist at J.W. James Elementary, she rejoined the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Dance Program as an adjunct professor.

She is thrilled to reprise the role of Ms. Warbucks and return as Mabel in this production.
